Hall China Company merged with Homer Laughlin China company March 25, 2010. Homer Laughlin is the last major pottery manufactured in the United States. Syracuse Pottery closed in 2009.

In Sausalito, just north of San Francisco, we still have the wonderful Heath ceramics studio that has been in operation since 1948. In fact, they are opening a new retail space in the famed Ferry Building in San Francisco very soon. www.heathceramics.com for more info. :)
Many years ago I inherited a HALL`S China teapot that had belonged to my Grandmother. It is a beautiful colbalt blue,with gold accenting. On the bottom is printed HALL`S C T 36 China.I often wondered about the Company.Your article has given me some insight.
