I wasn't aware of that use for hot sauce, but an elderly friend told me that tomato catsup cleans brass. I tried it and it does. I've enjoyed reading your "Comments" and have learned a lot. I guess we can't help but think that people we love will continue their interests forever--we've joked that my mother and my mother-in-law would be a team to paint the pearly gates with gold spray paint.
